    mechanical lift

i have a 1023e. i noticed in the lift setup that one of the steps is "if you have a mechanical lift". how do you determine if you have a mechanical lift? not familiar with the terminology.
    thanks

Mechanical lift uses the three point hitch to lift and lower the mid mount mower deck. The independent lift has it's own hydraulic cylinder and a hose that connects to one of your loader ports.

If you use the 3PH hitch control lever, you have mechanical lift. If you use the loader joystick to raise/lower the mower along with having to connect a hose to your mid QDs, you have independent lift.
