Hey all.. I think JD is sand bagging with their reported loader lift capacities. I assume they do that to keep people from doing dumb/dangerous things with their machines that they could somehow get sued for. I did a rudimentary lift test moving bags of mulch this weekend. 15 bags of mulch at 40.5lbs per bag + a 40lb pallet plus my 42" HLA forks at 315lbs = a fairly accurate 963lbs. I got that load up to a very usable height of about 3ft before the pump said no more. I drove about 60 yards with that load over uneven ground with no problem. Based on the speed of the lift. I think it could have taken another 50 to 100lbs. I'd say the real world max dead lift to a safe usable height with forks is right at 1000lbs but if you had to get 1100lbs off the ground to a foot or so I think it could do it. Very impressive for this class if tractor. Just the bucket and a 1200lb lift wouldn't surprise me after my experience with the forks.
