Salvaged 12V LED for rear light

Last week at a red light, we noticed something just off the driving lane. My wife opened the car door and picked it up. It was a Grote BZ501-5, 12v rechargeable LED light. The magnetic base was gone, the battery packs were gone, it was pretty banged up. I figured it wouldn't be worth trying to get new parts, so I salvaged the six-LED lamp in the finned aluminum housing. I straightened the fins, painted it JD green, used the handle as a mount and zip tied it to the ROPS. I located the purple/black wires in the harness, fished some wire down the ROPS, and hooked it up. It works great! provides plenty of light behind the tractor for backing up or hooking up/moving my utility trailer after dark (I often return from kayaking after dark, and the tractor maneuvers the kayak trailer much better than my Jeep when putting the trailer back in it's spot). I expect it will be useful in the winter as well, if/when I plow snow after dark.
