    1025r Front rims

Has anyone bought new Front rims for the 1025r, if so, do you know the Part # that you used, I bought a set and the ones that are in the Parts book are made in reverse from the ones that came on Tractor, (Valve stems on the wrong side.) My dealer has not found the answer for this yet, trying to find out from JD.. I know that these could work, (running wheels in reverse with short Valve stems), but its a brand new Tractor and would really like the correct Rims.
    Thanks

Sounds like you have the R4 tires. If so, just have the tires re-mounted to reverse the rotation and move the wheel to the other side or turn the wheel around. If you have the R3 (turf) tires, then just turn the wheel around, or move it to the other side. As long as the wheel bolts on and the off-set is the same, there should be no problems.

The front rims with the valve stem on the other side are for 4WD garden tractors. Also the lug bolt holes are tapered on the other side. The front wheels for the garden tractors mount reversed from the 1025R/1026R.
I bought a set of HDAP wheels off of a 4WD garden tractor. I did not notice the valve stem was on the wrong side until I went to mount them on my 1026R.
They rims could not be mounted reversed on my 1026. I mounted them with the valve stems in.

I have used them to mow the last 2 seasons with out any problems, other than it is harder to check the tire pressure.

    P.S. I checked John Deere Parts for the front rim part numbers for the 1026R, 1025R & X748. (1026R LVA16251) (1025R M139005) (X748 M139005)

I believe they have the wrong part number listed for the 1025R.

This does seem to be case of the wrong #, but it is really turning into a problem of finding the correct #, yea, these will work with a short 1" stem, but would really like to find the correct rims. Somebody, somewhere, deep within JD, knows the answer. I did a search with the LVA16251 #, and the parts list shows this include M139005 rim, it's about as clear as mud.

Yes it does say it in includes M139005, but the illustration shows the valve stem on the correct side.
Give the LVA16251 number to your dealer & let them figure it out.

Yea, I saw that in the illustration, (the valve stem), I intend to get with the dealer Mon., and see what they can do.
Thanks for the help, the pictures you have is exactly what I have, I will inform dealer about the X748 wheels. I know these can work, but at a $100.00 each , it would be nice to get the right ones.

    Thanks again

I agree that you should get the right new rims.
It is a pain to check the pressure with the stem on the back, I thought if I ever have a flat & had to remove the tire from the rim, I would drill a hole & put a valve stem on the other side.

Thought I would give an update on this, the correct Part Number is LVA 16251, my dealer had to get with John Deere to get it straight. The 1023 &1026 schematics are correct and the 1025 shows the wrong # at the top of the page, so if anyone is interested for a wheel, use this number I posted.
