    Another Loose Steering Wheel Post

The steering wheel on my 1026R has been loose from the beginning but it wasn't very much. The dealer said it was within spec when I took it in last year for a bunch of warranty items and I could accept it at that time. However, through the winter it has gotten bad. I know there are a couple of good threads on here that give me a clue to the cause so I might pull it apart this weekend to see if I can tighten it up or if something is worn out I will need to catch it under warranty.

Here is a short video clip to demonstrate how loose it is. I'll follow up with more info as I take it apart.

That much play in the steering wheel would drive me nuts! I hope that you can find something that tightens it up good.

Your dealer must not be one of the good ones. That's crazy. Gotta be something loose somewhere.

Your dealer said that's ok? I wouldn't be happy with that at all. Please let us know what you find.

Man, that is not right at all. Hope you can figure it out and get your dealer to fix it. I would think it should be easy to find the issue once you get some parts off.

I'd look at 19s. Are they even there? I figured somebody would post a pic. ;) Good luck.

It wasn't near as bad as this when I had it in the shop last spring. It seemed to get worse through the winter.
