    JD 750 hydraulic flow question

I have a copy of TM 1242 dated sept 1984, which lists the hydraulic pump capacity as 9cc/rev = 5.7 [email protected] rpm (max PTO).

I also have a copy of a page out of the 70/70A loader manual dated Jan 1989, which lists the hydraulic flow for the 750/70 combination as 6.3gpm at "S.C.V." (whatever that is)
with power steering (which I don't have)

The two doc's are 4 1/2 years apart... was wondering if there wasn't a production change, or if it's just playing with the math somehow... I'd have to run 2650 rpms to get 6.3gpm out of a 9cc pump (by my math), and that aint gonna happen, lol.

I wouldn't care except I'm calc'ing out some cycle times for attachments, etc. Anybody have any other info on pump capacity for the 750?

    TIA

You could research the pumps in jdparts to see if there is a serial number break along the production run, most likely one of the manuals is incorrect though. SCV is Selective/Service Control Valve, JD's name for hydraulic remote.

Thanks, kennyd... I was thinking spool valve, but went with outing myself as a newb instead, lol. In reality, the difference wont matter for small stuff... But if i entertain a log splitter every little bit would help-

Thanx, Gizmo... Ive not found 4gpm anywhere. If thats correct the logsplitter is out, lol... Im too old to be waiting around like that , though a grapple on my forks could still work
