Both are 2018 models. Compared the 3pt maximum height of the 2025
r to a 1023R in the showroom and the pin height on the 1023 was higher, didn't expect that, maybe something that can be adjusted? Ride did not seem improved on the 2025R. The 2025 travels noticeably faster, seems like the ratio is unchanged from the 1025 and the speed difference is related to tire size. Loader speed seems the same, we raised and lowered them side by side. While the higher location of the range shift lever is nice it doesn't shift as easily maybe because there is extra linkage? The 260B on the 1025 seems to have a bit smoother operation the cushion valve on the main boom is definitely an improvement. The other refinements the BH are very nice. Found the 2 seats easier than turning the old one but the backhoe seat is not as comfy as the yellow tractor seat. The step up to the platform on the 2025 works great. Since the platform on the 2025 is 3 or 4 in taller than the 1025 you really need the step. I just don't get why JD put the toolbox on the front of the 2025R. The big tires are the attraction as it should roll easier on soft ground and the clearance is better for sure. Might be able to run the larger tires a bit softer to improve the ride. I enjoy the forum!
I currently own a 1025R TLB. Handiest tractor on the farm! Dealer said maybe I should look at a 2032R but probably to large to be as handy as this one.
