    Driveshaft insertion

I was crawling around under my 1025r today and noticed that a lot of spline is showing on the drive shafts. Is this normal, or should they be in further? See attached pictures.

It has been a while since I've been under mine but some spline showing is normal but I don't remember that much spline showing. Did you try moving the shafts?

    It is likely normal

I believe the amount of spline that is visible is the same on my 1026R. I can take some pics and post if you'd like to see (tomorrow), just let me know.

First off I'd like to say that I'm impressed I got 3 responses within 10 minutes on a Saturday night. Personally I'm sitting by the fire pit drinking a beer I only hope the rest of you are engaged in similar pursuits.

No, I didn't explicitly try to move them but I did try to get my finger in there and see if I could feel the end of the shaft in the knuckle but really couldn't.

Green Man I would take some pictures if you would be so kind. If nothing else just to assuage my fears. Thanks.

The front side is really hard to photograph since its between the steering column supports.

Sorry about my silliness earlier... I can take a picture of mine tomorrow, as I don't have any light in the shed, and I am also having a couple of brews.

What are you drinking? I've got Sam Adams Rebel IPA.
