1026R Autoconnect Driveshaft Brackets Worn OUt

Changed my transmission fluid today and found my autoconnect driveshaft brackets worn completely through. Long bolt broken. The bar it connects to is worn thin.
Can I buy the brackets and bar separately?

Very doubtful. You might be able to have them made, but you can only buy the assemble.

The lift linkage has been updated with stronger parts, so you would need a few new parts to make it work on your autoconnect.

I see what you mean about upgraded parts.

The brackets that attach the autoconnect to the lift kit are also updated and use a plastic bushing.

Looks like I can buy the brackets for $28 each. How much would it cost to have them made?

    A lot more than $28.

    1. You 'll have to buy one to copy it.

    2. You'll need to locate a machinist who can produce the base part.

    3. You'll need to develop specs for the raw steel, as I'm thinking run of the mill flat stock is not going to be of sufficient hardness.

    4. You'll need to purchase enough to warrant a production run.

    5. You'll have to transport it.

    6. You'll have to store it out of the weather.

    7. You'll need to transport it for machining.

    8. You'll need to perform inspections.

    9. You'll need to prepare specifications for the anti-corrosion plating.

    10. You'll need to source a plater.

    11. You'll need to transport it to the plater.

    12. You'll need to perform inspections.

    13. You'll need to tranpsort it from the plater.

    14. You'll need to purchase storage bins/shelving.

    15. You'll need to pay the property taxes on the storage building.

    16. You'll need to insure the building.

    17. You'll need to quit your real job to find the time to coordinate this and hire help to assist you.

    18. You'll need to purchase a forklift.

    19. You'll need to hire an accountant to deal with payroll and taxes.

    20. You'll need to hire a divorce attorney when your bride leaves you as you never have time for her and the bill collectors are calling non-stop.

    21. You'll need to find a homeless shelter to live in.

Don't forget about your broken bolt, it is for the adjustment of the autoconnect.
