    My new 1025r

Dealership finally dropped it off Friday afternoon and took my x730 away. I installed the Load n Go and mulching kit (which having the Load n Go installed made life easy!) and then cut my lawn Saturday. I've got 4 acres with both large open areas and areas with lots of trees and I have to say that it's pretty much just as maneuverable as my x730. Definitely heavier and the 3PH makes it a little more difficult backing up to get in close but other than that I'm pretty impressed. The x730 was an incredible lawn machine (and was pretty good at moving snow). This isn't quite the lawn machine but having the loader makes it a lot more useful. Again, thank you to everyone on this forum...incredibly useful info and I've learned a lot!

Nice looking unit. Enjoy it and put it to work. I see the quick hitch did you get the blade with it? I went with the 60" CTA blade with mine.

I kept the blade that I had with my x730 but everything else had to be changed unfortunately. Dealership did do the quick hitch, hydraulics swap for nothing though.

Man, it must have been rough letting that 730 go. Congrats on the new one.

Always exciting with the new machine. The x730 (all x7xx machines) is one of the best garden tractors for cutting grass but having the FEL and the 3 point open up a whole new world of projects and efficiency. Basically, you went from Great to Excellent in handy and helpful machines. Congratulations on your new tractor.

You will be surprised how low the front quick hitch mounts on your new 1025r. The blade lift height and the plow carry height on the 1 series is at least several inches lower when compared to the x730, due to the quick hitch mounting under the tractor frame on the 1 series verses hanging on the front of the frame on the x730. Should you end up with the blower, the forward drive kit leaves the driveshaft from the mid PTO to the blower hanging MUCH lower under the 1 series to line up and drive through the front quick hitch mounting. Its just important to keep in mind when pushing into piles and also driving in deep snow, etc.

The 1 series does a phenomenal job plowing snow when you get it set up correctly with rear ballast. Between the 4wd and the agility of the machine, its ideal for residential driveway plowing. If you haven't added wings or widened your plow blade you will likely be considering it because the machine is capable of much more than the 54" plow width.

And here is someone who WON'T be joining the "I smacked my ROPS on the Garage Door Header Club" based upon the overhead doors in the picture behind you (assuming that is at your home)......
