    Reverse messed up?

I have a 2015 1025R with about 55 hours on it. Pulled it out to do some hogging, and discovered that the tractor will go in forward, and will try to go in reverse. No reverse, it will move a little, but then won't go any further. is that a fluid problem? If so where do I check?

I would start by checking the fluid level via the dip stick as outlined in the Owner's Manual.

Watch your shifter, too. Is it bumping out of gear? My 1025 will go into reverse 100% of the time, but sometimes I gotta finesse the fwd. pedal just a bit for it to mesh and engage.

ETA: I shift into neutral sometimes with the e-brake on and engine still running- doing this or that. Going back from N to L is easy, but sometimes the fwd. pedal just won't catch. I can feel it easily now, takes just a second to tease the gears back in alignment. Your making any strange noises when it's backwards? When it stops moving?

Beautiful beaches, moderated summer heat and lake effect snows. Right where I want to be.

As Jay said, always start with fluid first. Make sure you check the fluid correctly.

Have you seen any signs of a leak? (fluid on the floor, etc?)

There have been a couple of instances where some had pedal linkage come unhooked under the tractor, but its not real common.

Have you run over anything like large limbs, etc. recently that you can recall? That would be one possible way to either unhook or damage the pedal linkage.

Does the foot pressure necessary to push the forward pedal seem the same as the pressure needed to push the reverse pedal?
