    1025R SCV Boot removal?

I would like to lube the linkages but not sure how the boot comes off. Do you just work it off or do I need to remove the fender which seems to be a bit of a pain. I tried pulling it a little but not sure if that's thr right way so I am sure someone here knows for sure. Thank you

just pull it up, you will not tear it, there is a lip around the top of the SCV valve that holds it on.

Yep, it's grooved around the bottom which engages the opening. I took mine off last winter to secretly mark the valve before sending tractor in for SCV replacement. It was cold in the shop so I warmed it a bit with a reflector lamp. Out and in slick as the generic nasal mucus on the back porch door knob...

What's the general consensus on which lube to use???
