    Purchasing new 1025R FILB: 0283LV (MY13) vs 0286LV (MY15)

I'm looking to purchase my first SCUT and have decided on the JD 1025R FILB. I have received several quotes from local and neighboring state dealers and they all list the 0283LV (MY13) in the quotes. When I build my own on the JD site, it has the option of the 0286LV 2015 model and the 0283LV 2013 model. I cannot find any information of the model variations. Are there significant differences? Should I insist on one over the other? The 2013 VIN seems to indicate a 2015 build date. I'm just confused on the models.

The best quote (pre-tax) is $22,100 for the 0283LV. This includes: 1025R (2013 Model Year) with backhoe and quick connect loader, 53" quick connect bucket, LED Work Light Kit @ $19,446; 60" mower deck with auto coupler @ $2,180; 5' rear blade @ $474. The price includes delivery and the $750 implement discount. Total out the door is $23,647.

Looking at the price, it is around 15% under list which reading here is okay. If I get the 2013 model year, should it be discounted even more?

I appreciate any input on this. Thanks!

Model years on tractors do not matter one bit. Any major changes come with a model change, i.e. 1026R became the 1025R. Smaller changes are denoted by serial number breaks.

Thanks fordguy. Since you mentioned serial number breaks, the serial number on the tractor is in the 319xxx range. I see on the mower deck, there is different mounting hardware for tractors w/ a serial break @ 324500. Being the quoted tractor is before that break, any advantage of making sure the tractor purchased is after the break? Any other significant serial breaks on this model?
