Figures something breaks as the warranty runs out, Auto connect part

So I noticed the deck was vibrating a bit today and something didn't sound right. Dropped the deck flat to the ground and started to inspect things and noticed the pto auto connect coupler was looking a little weird. It was cocked to one side and I went around the other side to see some flat stock snapped off and a really deep gouged rod. Here are pics. Is the tractor side of the PTO coupler suppose to swivel a little to adjust as the mower deck floats around a little as it rolls on the anti-scalp wheels. Mine is rock solid the bolts are tight that hold it in place.

I bought the tractor 2 years ago at the beginning of August, so if I am right my warranty ran out. It will suck if it was a defective part or the dealer had calibrated my deck wrong during the original install and set-up. Hopefully there will be some sympathy. Though it does not look hard to replace the parts, just not sure if there is something wrong with the calibration.

It looks as if I need to replace parts 9 and 16 for sure and the metal bar that runs through them.

Your tractor / deck didn't have the plastic bushings from the factory. That started with the 2015 models. When you get the new parts, you'll get the newer style with the plastic bushings.

I'm glad I caught it when I did before I blew something more up. With the heat the grass growing has slowed so this is a good time to get it repaired before thatching and leaf clean-up this fall.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

So I was mistaken thinking my warranty ran out after 2 years, I have 3 years, so all should be good unless they feel the owner (myself) did something to cause the part to break. I will update the end results when it gets done.

I also have them pricing out what it would cost to do the rim guard on my rear turf tires while it is there.

Yep, this happened to me as well. Only mine didn't last that long. I got less then a year on mine. Haven't had a problem since. Yah, now because I don't have the newer stuff it'll probably happen.

On the 2013 and maybe 2014 tractors, the warranty is two years on the overall tractor, 3 years on the drive train.

I told them to call me with estimates before repairing, but they looked up the tractor and told me that it would be covered under my 3 year warranty. I bought it August 2014. It was a 2015 model if I remember correctly. Or the dealer had thrown in the extra year as part of purchase. Can't really remember. Again let's see how it all pans out. I told them to go over the height adjustment dial and the swivel seat ( 3 out of the 4 m8x12 screws had fallen out and disappeared somewhere, went to swivel the seat once and it almost came off in my hand) while it was there as well. Also, I never had an easy time attaching the yellow FEL hose. I had to push back really hard on the female coupler to have it mate to the male. The other three where easy. And it is not the FEL side as it is a problem with the snow plow as well. That should cover all my aches and pains for a while.
