    1025R Fuel Gauge Stuck

My 1025r is only 2 months old and for some reason the fuel gauge, which is on the left rear fender, reads 1/2 even the tank is empty. When its full it does read full, but once the fuel level drops below 1/2 the gauge stays there at 1/2 until I fill it again. Any ideas?

Sounds like you'll have to pull the gauge to check the float and see if there is something that is binding or blocking it's travel. It may also be a bad gauge with a broken wire. Good luck.

Agree with Randy. Fuel float must be stuck. Don't know why, but, probably the only way to fix it is to remove the fuel tank and pull the gauge float assembly out.

I agree with the possible stuck/restricted float movement. It may be a simple as something binding the float at the bottom of its travel, but your tractor is only 2 months old, sound like a dealer issue to me.

    Just my 2 cents.

Is this gauge electric? I assumed it was just a mechanical float type.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the info, just one more question, is it possible to remove the gauge without removing the fender and tank?

Mechanical float. To remove it from the tank requires removing the tank.
