I know it's not really a word, but when you use SCUT, how do you say it?

I say "scut", like "scoot" only with an uh in the middle.

I don't think I have ever actually said the word aloud, but when I read it, I read it the same as a similar word which describes a loose woman.

Brilliant minds think alike ... I always thought it was pronounced like scuttlebutt (gossip) without the "tlebutt".

    Just my 2 cents.

I pronounce it just like it sounds as well. Reminds me of the time I was at the Deere dealer and one of the salesmen said "one thousand twenty five/six R". I say "ten twenty five/six R". To each his own
