    Getting tractor back tomorro

Seat linkage issue on 2016 1025 covered under Warranty. Turn around time was 9 days. Looking forward to getting back to grading and ripping what roots are left from the area I cleared. Trying to wrap up stuff before the winter sets in. Hopefully will get fill delivered and get rid of the bramble. Warrenty issues have taken me out of service repeatedly. In all fairness, it's been minor stuff but still a PITA. Hopefully all will go smooth and when done, will prep the front blower, put on the rear blade and get ready for Jack Frost!

That's really something. My tractor hasn't been to the dealer since it was delivered in 2007.

Hearing about these repeated trips back to the dealer from many folks makes me wonder about the quality anymore.....

I see and hear the stuff first hand. Its not very often but we have had units come back with low hours multiple times for different wacky weird problems. Drives us crazy! But for the most part, the customers are cool and dont get too upset. We eat the cost of pickup and delivery if within reason. That helps. One thing my boss is hot on is at least getting it looked at THAT day if at all possible. At least we can get the parts coming. Seems to work good and usually defuses a potentially hostile situation.

Got tractor back today but not happy

New owner, completely a gentleman with the dealer. Unfortunately bad luck with one minor problem after another. I Wash, grease and clean the tractor every time before and after operating. Found a rubber boot on the ground after washing it and thanks to the forum it was identified. It is a rubber boot that fits the tie rod end on the 1025 from the steering piston. Tractor went OOS for warrenty repaired. Was told by dealer if if I repaired it myself, I would void warrenty, so tractor went OOS and I was shut down. Tractor went in to replace boot. Boot was replaced , they smash tightened it and it's already torn. (F$&cking overtightened and compressed a rubber boot on a non press fitting). Later, Seat linkage broke, was repaired under warrant, now seat doesn't slide forward enough, funny but my legs have shortened! Don't know what to do? Have had it with what they call the JD techs. Got the tractor back today, boot smashed, maybe my legs are too short!!! Venting!!! What the heck, if I can't vent to you guys what's the sense!

Sorry you're having trouble Don. One thing I've learned about getting my tractor fixed or worked on. I tell the front people that I want to talk to the one doing the repairs/work. Seems to me that the ones doing the work like it when the owner talks to them. When I do it they seem to do a better job and take more interest in doing it as they know who they are doing it for. I've always enjoyed talking to the workers, I learn things from them that way too.
BTW, any time you need to vent, go for it as we have all been there.

My 1026r went in for warranty work 3 times. My 2032r hasn't been at all.
