    Broken Differential Mechanism on 1025R

Hi All. Please see attached picture. I broke the mechanism that engages the differential lock on my 1025r. The tractor isn't under warranty. I would like to order the parts and repair myself. Do you have suggestions? I'm not sure when/where this happened but I'm guessing I snagged it on a rock.
    Thanks!
    Cody

What is broken exactly? The photo just shows a missing cotter pin and washer but I suspect there is more.

Looks like there's a bellcrank lever broken as well.

Looks like the lowest point on the undercarriage, always the first place to take a ding.

Hopefully you can repair without major disassembly.

Thanks Kenny. Yep, that looks like the bellcrank that Superglidesport posted above. If so, it's only a $8.10 part and a $0.52 roll pin.

Are there suggestions for removing the bell crank? I'm a fairly noob at some mechanic tasks. I've taken better pictures. There seems to be a pin that is holding the bell crank on the shaft but mine looks damaged. I was expecting to see some type of cotter pin on one end. Thank you....

It is held in place by a roll pin (item #13 on the diagram above). You will need to tap it out with a small punch. A roll pin punch would be ideal but you can use a regular punch as well. Try to use one that is large enough to not go into the hollow pin but small enough to pass through the hole in the bell crank.

It might be a good idea to order a new pin when you order the new bell crank.

First of all you need top get an axle stand under there.
This is advise from a professional mechanic that has seen all kinds of things go wrong.

Knock the roll pin out with a PIN punch so the end isn't mashed over too bad
Use one of these or something that closely looks like it
You may be able to rent one from your local auto parts store

May have to soak it with penetrating oil or heat it up (don't burn the seal)
