I've long thought some more lights would be a good addition to my 1025R. My employment has changed a bit and I will need to do more in the dark now, clearing snow. So better lighting is a necessity. But what do I choose? I want to add more/better front lighting and rear lighting. I see two directions to go:
- Add something like the JD rear light kit and also find some forward facing lights to mount to the side of the ROPS/on top of the flashers.
- Add a forward-facing light bar to the top of the ROPS, and a backward-facing light bar to the top of the ROPS.
I'm not sure what my desired wiring would look like, but I think the front and rear lights should probably turn on with the work lights. That is, I don't believe I see need for a separate control for them. (A separate project, though, is that I think the flashers should have their own switch. Some day.)
I've seen lots of people adding various kinds of lights. But what's not clear to me is why they chose the lights they did. Is there a reason one option might be better than another? What sort of additional lighting did you add, and do you like it/would you do it again? Or maybe opt for something different? Feedback appreciated!
