Cordless screwdriver & rotary tool recommendations?

My old VersaPak tools are wearing out and I'm looking for cordless replacements. Of course, I dread adding even more proprietary batteries and chargers. (The only other compact batteries I currently have are Bosch 12V for the PS41-2A drill/driver.) I haven't found one brand that can replace inline screwdrivers and 1/8" rotary tools with a single battery geometry. I have a lot of heaver tools, but really like the convenience of these light-duty ones without a big battery bulge.

Has anyone found a reliable mainstream "skinny battery" tool series that includes both of these options? If I strike out, what non-replaceable battery systems should I look at (all tools must work with the same charger.)

The dremel 12v cordless uses the same charger as the bosch. They are the same battery except for some over mold plastic to make you buy the "correct" battery. Bosch owns dremel.

Bosch also just came out with a cordless rotary tool. But it is 50ndollars more expensive than the dremel.

Very helpful -- I didn't realize that. It's a shame that the batteries aren't interchangeable "at will" but I did find this clip showing how to swap the plastic bases in a pinch so they can be moved back and forth.

I thought getting the Dremel and a Taclife USB-chargeable screwdriver (SDH13DC) would solve the problem, but apparently that Taclife model was discontinued. So close...

I used a Milwaukee cordless screwdriver at work for years. Always worked for me.

I love Milwaukee, but they don't make a screwdriver and rotary tool that share the same battery, (I have the same problem with the three separate Stihl battery lines. I wish that issue got more attention!!!!!!)

I finally found a Skil pivoting screwdriver (SD561802: in-line/pistol) rated at 36 in-lbs with USB charging that seems to be the best solution so far. Does anyone have experience with that one?

I'll probably go with the Dremel rotary tool since it can use Bosch batteries if necessary (see below). That combination keeps me from having to add more chargers.

    Thanks for the great feedback.
