    yearly service

    Should I ignore the yearly service and just do the hourly service recommended ?

    What are your recommendations ?

    I change oil and filter every year in both machines regardless of hours (note have never gone over hours per year indicated by maintenance schedule) fuel filter as well.

    Same here, but only one machine. I also lube everything each year even though I won't have hit the hours to do it. When I replace both fuel filters, I drain the fuel from the tank and then refill the tank with that fuel after it goes through a Mr. Funnel filter (which removes any water and solids). I also give the tractor and implements a good cleaning each year when mowing season is over.

    Recommend following the maintenance intervals listed in the manual. The yearly services are there for a reason. If you are putting sufficient hours on the machine per year then by all means do hourly. If you have a low-hour machine then do annual intervals.

    My 2012 2-series only has 135 hours... going by hours that would be 6 years and still no oil change. However, I've been doing the recommended annual oil changes.
