    Chains & Binders

Can anyone suggest a good vendor ( read inexpensive) for chains and binders?

Zip's isnt bad they do free shipping, check your local rigging shop you would be surprised at their pricing.

I bought my stuff from Tractor Supply when they had a "percent off" coupon. I bought chains that were twice the length of what I actually needed and asked them to cut a link from the center ("halving" them). I bought two additional hooks that bolted on (with proper grade bolt) and voila! I had four chains exactly the length I needed for a very cost-effective price.

I pieced my chains and binders together based on the best price. My 20ft G70 5/16" chain came from Lowes and my binders from Rural King. I also purchased additional G70 hooks from Rural King. I turned 2x 20ft chains into 2x 10ft and 4x 5ft. I use a 3,333lb axle strap, 5ft chain and binder on each side of the front and a single 10ft chain, 3/8" clevis and binder on the rear.

I was going to mention Tractor Supply as they also have chain in bulk - can cut to the size you want. But I would be very careful in checking the origin of manufacture on their stuff.
