    My Everyday Beater

My little 2001 S10 pick-up might not be classified as truck by some of you but it hauls what I want it to. I added the high rise hood, the leather seats, and the bed liner.

Nice, in my neck of the woods that is not called a beater. It does not have enough rust or banged up body panels.

Who knew an S-10 could look so good.

I know my '83 S-10 only looked good the day I bought it, after that it started to self destruct and I gave up trying to keep it looking nice.
I have more ideas than ambition.

Thanks guys, it is pushing 90,000 miles. Hope to get a few more out of her. I am not really sold on the Colorado. Just re-did the suppension, new springs and shocks, new brakes, and rotors, and a new battery. Had to replace the radio and tail light lenses (were all cracked) and a new front grill emblem. The old emblem never was right from day one.

    Whatcha mean?
Lemme guess...it had the black w/Red outline Grille emblem?
FYI, thats the correct emblem for the eXtreme, the emblem you have on there is the "normal S10" emblem...

The original emblem had a defect that steadily got worse, finally replaced it. All I know is that the replacement emblem is the exact same that was delivered with the vehicle when I purchased it. Not sure about the black w/red, didn't see that in the parts listing.

Now we talkin my language...back in the day when I was working at the dealership it was my responsibility to make sure the Parts Imager software was working right...so as you can imagine I spent alot of time tinkering with it.... The correct emblem for the front is this one:

NOW, without having the imager loaded up in front of me, I cant see any breaks for years or options...BUT this was the correct emblem back in the day, My buddies Extreme came off the showroom floor with this emblem in the grille (yes I know this isnt an Extreme)

That being Said, a slicker look is to buy this aftermarket one:

And fill in the groove with the same paint as you body color...
