    Hydraulic pump upgrade

I have a 5320 that the hydraulics are weak and I'm sure needs a pump. Is there a upgraded pump or high output pump that will fit in its place? Here's a pump I found online for reference. But haven't found anything about the upgrade.

    Thanks

At one point I had the Eaton series info on these because I too was interested (still am!) in bumping up the flow capacity. If your steering side is still ok, you just need the front pump, and they run around $500. Another option would possibly be to rebuild the one you have. I don't know what the bodies look like after use in aluminum pumps, but the vanes should be a breeze to swap out with new ones and then you just need seals.

M's run higher volume hydraulics, so my next step would be to check the parts they use (gear drive sprockets, etc) and see if there's any differences when going up in flow.

5320 Implement hydraulic flow is 11.4 gpm. 5420 Implement hydraulic flow is 15.9 gpm. P/N is RE73947. I would see if this pump would fit

No testing yet. Tractor is a 2003 year I believe. It's been in the chicken house since it was new. Loader operation just seems sluggish as it's got older. We are going to service it out and check all the pressures here in the next few weeks.

Could be something simple like a collapsed hose too.

We ran the machine for years with Napa filters on it. Took it to the dealer about 2 years ago and the old guy in the back laughed and said stop using the Napa filter with a restrictor. He put a genuine filter on it and it was better. But still weak. We will definitely check all the simple stuff too!

Many hyd pumps have been replaced to determine that original pump wasn't at fault. Nothing is cheaper than some good diagnostics. Weak hyd's could be as simple as a faulty relief valve.
