    5075E Question

Got a 2017 model and it seems as if itís max rpm it will only spin the pto 550-560 rpm without a load. Is there any adjustment to this on the throttle cable? Just seems the tractor is wide open when pulling an implement and there is no throttle to spare if I get into thick grass/hay.

550-560 RPM is the max it will go at full throttle. Sounds to me like you are running out of power. Are you bogging it down? Are you expecting it to do more than a 5075 can do? You did not give us much info for specifics. For example, what are you mowing with, a batwing?

What is the HP requirement for the disc mower? I should think a 5075 would handle that. How fast is your ground speed? The guy cutting the hay around here is running a Ford 7610 or something like that with 75 HP and is running a disc mower, but I don't know the width, however it looks to be something like your 8ft and he is having no problems with it, but can't go very fast.

Usually running between 6 and 7 mph, when I first bought the tractor I never had this problem. Going to try changing fuel filters Monday. Something has changed just not sure what. Mower HP requirement is 50 hp.

As I said to start with, sounds like you are running out of power. Since this is a new phenomenon, you need to search out why this is happening. Maybe just bad fuel???? Bad filter???? Water in fuel???

My 5075E only registers about 560 RPM's at WOT, but has no problems handling our 9' disc mower pulling it in 8th gear at about 6.8 MPH if I remember correctly. I just thought that was its limit and the computers or whatever wouldn't allow anymore PTO RPM's. Kind of like how the RPM's automatically drop off when set to 540E but IDK.

Do you have your PTO on economy mode by chance? I guess I am not entirely sure what the problem is. Do you want your PTO to spin faster than 540-550? Maybe I am wrong but isn't 540 PTO speed ideal for most implements?

I think 6-7mph when mowing thick grass is a little too fast. I run my 5075e with a 6 ft rotary mower at about 4mph and it does really well through thick grass.

Pulling a disc mower 6-7 is a moderate speed, Iíve seen ppl running 9-10 mph if they can stay in the seat. In ePTO you can sling the PTO around 610. This is more so about the engine being maxed out more so than wanting to sling the pto faster than 540. Seems to me like 2200rpm is fairly low rpm. I have a 5205 that will turn 2500-2600 before the Governor kicks in.
