    5400 Tach Problem

I have a 5400 and this fall as we were finishing up our small hay crop the tach stopped working while I was baling hay. The next morning when I started the tractor it was working again, but once the tractor warmed up to operating temperture it stopped working again. I'm not real sure where to start working on a fix so thought I'd throw it out here to you experts to hopefully give me a starting point. I don't use it in the winter, but would like to get it working before summer hay season rolls around again.

    Welcome to GTT
I;ll recommend checking electrical connection on sensor located on LH front of engine. Also check to be sure instrument panel has good/clean ground connection.
