    5101E broke, in half!

Anyone ever heard of breaking the transmission housing in half? Moving hay out of fields with gooseneck trailer on 3pt hitch, pulling up grade out of fields, split wide open and looks like cab holding it together.

    yes, of course!
Some of the tractors include JD 4105, JD 855, JD 650,,,, and,,, the IH 584 4WD
My favorite attachment is the homemade landplane,,, EVERYONE needs one of those!!

I have actually seen videos of tractors being ripped in half where the transmission housing meets the engine, or further back in some cases, usually when doing something stupid like using a 40K lb articulating tractor to pull a much smaller tractor out of a very deep mud hole, etc.

I can't figure out how to get them from my phone. It is definitely cracked all the way, open up about an inch on top. We used to have a 30ft trailer with axles 2ft back from center that we used in this manner for years. He traded it for a 2012 Texas Longhorn, and got boot?? Texas Longhorn 35ft with dovetail, axles about the same location but it puts 4 more 4x5 rolls on tractor, had 18 on it, I think it bounced and snapped the housing. The casting looks pretty sorry, looks like sand in some spots, I guess the E means castings from China

The E series tractors are not full frame tractors like the M series. When i read this yesterday thats what i thought overloaded and most likely bounced. Did it damage both sides where it bolts together.

So what happens now? Is the tractor totaled as far as repair costs?
