The tractor is a 9 speed open station with sync trans
The fuel gauge isn't working, so I shorted across the 2 terminals and the gauge started going up, was slow, but going toward full. I then ade an assumption (a bad one) that the issue was the sender. Bought a new one $97 and installed. Same thing, no movement, and when shorted gauge starts to move, but only to lmost 1/4 then starts back down.
So the gauge is bad, or a bad connection. The bad news is the gauge is part of the instrument panel (SJ10746) AND COST $731, and I'm not paying 730 for a fuel gauge fix.
Need to figure out how to get the panel out so I can have a closer look. Anyone know how to remove it?
