Other model snowblowers fit john deere 332?

Hello folks ive searched the forums and havent found any info on the topic but my friend has a case 446 and he has many spare snowblowers and i was wondering if anyone has retrofitted one of those snow blowers on a john deere 332? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You can retrofit anything to work. Its just about how much time, effort, and money you want to put into it.

If you can find one that is driven similar to Deeres 49 snow thrower, it should be a fairly easy process.
I know at least one person over on WFM put a Ford snowblower on an older 3 series, at least Im pretty sure thats what it was. Its been a while.

The JD 49 or 47 chest freezer with proper mount and gearbox. Then there were quick hitch 46 and 47 snowblowers. These require the correct hitch, driveshaft and upstop.

Finally berco had a 44” option.

Any blower from another brand is going to take modification to work, some more then others.

For a 332 you would need to fab the hitching points and get the pulley to align. The JD 49 blower also has a idler that cams over to tighten the belt. You would need a way to keep the belt tight also.

They use pins for the top mounts of the 49. If I recall the hydro lines run close to the mounting holes, hence the reason for the pins and not bolts.

They do, but if its a fabricated hitch, and pins cant be used for some reason, bolts can be. Its not easy, as one needs to hold the nut in place inside the frame while threading the bolt in, but it can be done. I used to do this with my front weight bracket on the 318. Doug L used to also on his 332, for the short time he had it.
