    Starter replacement on a 112

So is there a trick to getting the starter replace on a 112? I cant get to the rear bolt to remove it so I can replace the starter. I guess that is why the person sold the mower so cheap. I have tried many different wrenches and ratchet/socket combos but still cant seem to get it out. I am out of thoughts, next is pulling the engine.
    The mower is a 112 typeT0011 serial 250509 with a kohler K301AS, spec 47433b and serial of 3163384. Thanks

You definitely do not need to remove the motor. I thought I always used a 3/8” Rachet with a 3” extension but I seem to remember needing a universal joint for one of them.

112 - Sold in July 2017 but took me until November to admit I just cast it out into this cruel world.

As stated, its not easy but it is doable.

I'm assuming you did remove the battery tray to increase access
