My neighbor (collector/hoarder?) is downsizing and getting rid of stuff and gave me a 214. I tried to buy it but he actually offered to pay me to haul it off! Apparently some one had given it to him and he used it for a while before he got a zero-turn to replace it.
Worse than simply sitting out in the weather, he had it under the eave of the house where the roof drained right down on top of it.
I am no mechanic, but after a little tinkering, it is running, driving, and mowing. It has a few issues but at least it "works". The engine starts easily and seems to run fine. Even the headlights work!
My question is this: The steering is very heavy and the turning radius is about a country mile. Is that normal?
