    John Deere 420 value

    Want to sell my 420 John Deere lawntractor. 17xx hours, front and rear pto. Dual hyd hook ups on the front. Nice shape but does use some oil. Works and drives very well. Not sure what to ask for it. Thanks

    What year for the tractor and which engine B48G or the P220G or a re-power

    Its a 1983 420. Not sure what Onan engine it is. Is there a data tag on the engine?

    It depends on what attachments you are selling with it.

    Tractor alone with that many hours on it, value isn't much. First you will have to find someone who wants the tractor alone!

    If you have attachments to sell with it, IMO then you may be able to get $2500 - $3000, but even that may be a stretch.

    Pictures of the tractor and attachments will help.

    Yes there should be a data tag on the engine cowling back by the firewall with model and serial number of engine. There should be a tractor data tag on the pedestal with tractor model and serial number.
