Exclamation Personal Information posted on For Sale and Wanted to Buy ads

In today's day and age, one must be very careful about publicly posting any of your personal information on the open internet. This would include your email address, physical address, or phone number. While it is not against the rules to do so, the staff at GTT strongly advise against it. You essentially give a spammer everything they need. You also can invite an identity thief by giving them the basic info they need to start stealing your identity.

It would be wise to include that information in a Private Message instead of publicly displaying it for all to read. Remember, these ads stay around for a very long time. The PM system is very easy to use and most importantly, it's private and secure.

It's easy to send a PM. It works just like an email or posting up a new thread. Simply click on the member's username and click on "private message."
