    Deere Zero turn Recall

Deere announced another recall via Facebook posting today:

If you purchased a John Deere Z335M, Z345M, Z345R, Z355R or Z375R residential ZTrak™ mower from August 2017 through December 2017, read this notice. In voluntary cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, we've issued a recall to address a potential safety issue. The seat switch for the operator presence control may fail. If this occurs the powered mower blades may continue operating when the operator leaves the seat, creating a laceration hazard. John Deere has received no reports of injuries or incidents. To learn more about this recall visit the Consumer Product Safety Commission website at: http://bit.ly/2DUoVC5. If your mower’s serial number is included in this recall, contact your John Deere dealer for more information.

Sorry to read about this recall. At least those owners have a few weeks to get theirs fixed before mowing season.

Surprising, there's only 3700 sold...all over the country plus Canada. I thought there would be a greater number.

Looks like it only covers machines from a pretty short time frame (Aug-Dec 2017) so I don't think it would be a huge number.
