    Z994 overheating

Customer brought in a 20hr run time x994r. Said it's overheating. Ran to confirm issue. PTO shuts off and red light on hour meter illuminated. Cooling fan is electric and never came on. Found bad temp switch in bottom of radiator. Best part was. . switch is not listed in parts break down. 45 min later on the phone with Deere.. Oops. Yeah we forgot to add it. They call out the part number. I say.. Hey isnt that the same part as a Gator? Yup.. Lol.. Aint that some crap. It happens. But outta my pocket!

Nobody is perfect I guess - even the parts guys.

At least they admired it and got you a part number right away - that’s what counts.

I can see where this is going...with a new Z model and a new idea using a electric cooling fan. Worst of all... a micro switch being the culprit on a very expensive mower. Bet that won't be the last we will hear of the problem(s)
