Looks very similar to the 1-series seat that is included from the factory. Is there some benefit to this seat over the factor seat?

Um, it doesn't fit on a 1 series:

John Deere Models (See Details): 5103, 5203, 5210 (W/O Cab SN 224002>), 5220 (SN <420000), 5303, 5310 (W/O Cab SN 233376>), 5320 (SN <420000), 5403, 5410 (W/O Cab SN 243604>), 5420 (SN <420000), 5503, 5510 (W/O Cab SN 251936>), 5520 (SN <420000)

Looks nice, though. :read

Maybe you could fabricate an adapter plate to fit from the existing connections to match up the fit for that particular seat. All things are possible in "The World of Engineering".
If you can dream it, it can be done.....most times. :greentractorride:

While on the seat thing, has anybody seen the seat on the X700 series? It has an adjustable back on it. I think it will fit my 1026 but not sure. I like it because the seat that came with my tractor leans back to far and can't be adjusted. I like a more straight up and down position so it's more comfortable leaning back and my hands on the steering wheel. I like being relaxed while operating my vehicles no matter what they are. :captain:

I have the 1023 and the only option on the 25/26 that would have been worth anything to me is the seat.. The 1023 seat is comfortable enough, but I do like the suspension on the 25/26 seat.. My dealer said the swap to the 25/26 seat is pretty simple but not surprising that JD charges a ton for the seat and assembly etc.. If someone made an aftermarket seat for these rigs like the one the OP posted.. I'd be first in line..
