When I got her out of the shed from winter this is what I encountered.

• Oil ring on right side, right below drain valve
• Oil stain surrounding the engine on the frame
• Ran with white smoke
• Seemed to be choking out with a rhythm to it, the smoke would increase with the rhythm
• When engaged deck all most stalled

I have taken some pictures to show the location of the oil leak.
Any help would greatly appreciated.
Looking to start repair this weekend.

Looks like a blown head gasket. They blow between the cylinder and the crankcase. The escaping compression pressurizes the crankcase. Pull the sparkplug. If it's nasty and oily you have a head gasket issue.

If it is a head gasket, the good news is it's a cheap fix on those B&S 31000-series engines. My brothers LA105 did the same thing and we fixed it for around $30. You don't even have to remove the engine. He got the required gaskets on Amazon.

Below is what his head gasket looked like. The arrow shows where the leak was. It was only a tiny spot but that's all it takes.

Yep, blown head gasket. Pro tip......remove the hood. The 5 minutes taking off those 4-6 bolts will make your life a whole lot easier.

I think it is a little greasy. Will let you know how it turns out. Lots of YouTube videos on how to. Good looking out on the hood suggestion.

That was the problem. Took a couple minutes longer than I expected but she runs better now than she has in years.
Thought I had picture but I guess I did not take one but same location as this one. Thank everyone for the hell.
