Changed the transmission oil and filter today for my 50 hour maintenance. When I pulled the screen out I found in addition to some normal lookin metal filings these grey rubbery items. My first thought was some sort of plastic grommet or gearing had been destroyed. (Note: I have no issues with my tractor) But upon further inspection it appears sort of rubbery. Was wondering if it could be some type of gasket sealant? Anyone have any ideas. Other than knocking over a bottle of oil trying to replace the filter, it went well. :dunno:

Don't worry. This is what to expect from a 1025r first change. It's just as you thought. A bit of gasket material. Happened to me when I had a 1025r and everyone else. Tractor on:bigthumb:

Its a shame to say thats normal but, its normal. You would think with todays modern technology, they can NOT use excessive caulking when they put 2 halves together. :banghead::bigthumb:
