I have a 4 year old 1025r, with about 300 hours on it. The other day I had a code come up. PRHeat Coil Fault. Made contact with our local dealer and best they could figure it was a relay gone bad. Replaced it and that did nothing.

One other thing, is after running it for a while the code magically goes away. Best thing I could find online about this was a battery issue. Dealer thinks it need to be brought. It be a wire issue somewhere. Any one have a similar experience or suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Well, you are approaching the typical battery lifespan of Deere Strongbox batteries, and from reading many posts they seem to create faults or just simply die suddenly.

Are you sure of the fault display? PRHeat Coil Fault?

These are the possible fault displays listed in the tech manual.

SHIFt to NEut--------------Neutral Switch OFF
SHUt Pto OFF--------------PTO ON
Pull CoiL FAult-------------Coil Open or Short to Ground
StArt CoiL FAUlt------------Starter Coil Open or Short to Ground
EnGInE run-----------------Crank Attempt
RIO_ON=------------------ Mid PTO is disabled
RPEdAL SEnSE-------------Sensor Inputs NC and NO both at 12V or at Ground
PtO CoIL FAULt------------PTO Coil Open or Short to Ground
RIGht Bulb Error-----------Bulb Open
LEFt Bulb Error-------------Bulb Open
EnGIne Error HEAt---------Engine Cooland Above 112C/234F

The code on the display screen does say PRheat coil fault. I had to recheck it a few times. The dealer also questioned the code. I was thinking of replacing the battery tomorrow

I would pull the glow plug relay off and check your terminals for good contact. Make sure they are not spread out, pushed back, corroded, etc. There could be a connection issue at the ICC - connector J3 (largest of the 3) pin L, wires 385 and 925 green.
