I'm looking at picking up at JD 1025r with a FEL & MMM and received the quote below. I was curious if others thought this was a good deal.

1025r - $12,399
H120 FEL - $3,499
60D MMM - $2,499

Total = $18,397
Less - $750 JD rebate (can get 60mo 0% interest in addition to the $750 off)

Sub total = $17,647 + tax(6% MI) = $18,705

Thanks in advance for your help, I appreciate it!

I am in Michigan as well and mine quote is as listed

1025r - $11250
H120 - $3000
60in MMM - $2500

That includes the $750 rebate but before MI tax... although we have a family farm and have bought a lot of things from this dealer over the years including parts.... i go today to finalize my paperwork!!! should have the tractor next week!! but the other thing to remmeber is how its set up with mmm lift (hydro machinaical) lots of little things can vary that... everyone always told me, anything more than 15% off list price is a GREAT deal!!

Best way to find out what kind of discount you are getting is to configure the tractor yourself on JD's website. Take the quote from the dealer and match it part for part. This will give you the total retail price of your setup. Add in any freight and setup your dealer is charging you (or not). You can then see the actual discount off list you are getting. As others have stated you should be able to get at least 15% off list then subtract the $750 cash back to where you are at. I was able to get 18% off from my dealer but that took some work and also getting a couple other quotes.

Good luck with your deal!

I am also looking to get a 1025R. I found these packages listed online. Seems like a really good price. Am I missing something?

Package Specials
Looking at package #9 - 1025R with H120 loader, Rotary cutter and box blade the total purchase price of that package should be in the ballpark of $15,500 give or take a couple hundred bucks. That means you are paying $2K for the trailer. I guess if you need the trailer and think that is a good price then it would be a good deal. I have no idea what that trailer is actually worth.

If you need a mid mount mower you are going to have to add a couple grand more to that package price also.

edit: found a link to something close to that trailer for $2195: http://www.kaufmantrailers.com/utility-trailers/tandem-utility-trailers/basic-tandem-axle-utility-trailer-6500-gvwr/ Its an ok deal only if you need a trailer and that specific tractor config.

I would personally rather put together exactly what I wanted in the tractor package and pay for only what I need. They are giving nothing away for free in that advertised deal.

You being in southern MI, I would call Mutton Power. Ask for Shane or Evan and see what they can do for you. Make sure you are comparing equipment. They normally sell it with h120 quick disconnect FEL and auto connect 60" mower. Mine was set up great-no issues what so ever. They are worth calling. Good luck!

Make sure when pricing that you are getting quoted for the auto connect PTO. There is ambiguity in what exactly constitutes an "auto connect" mower deck. All one series MMM decks are drive over, auto connect. You can optionally also get the auto connect PTO so that you don't have to connect that part manually.

It is plausible that you could take delivery of your deck with the "Auto Connect" sticker plastered on it, yet not have the auto connect PTO hardware to go with it. It is a separate item.

Also make sure that you are getting the quick attach bucket on your H120 loader. For that matter, make sure it is the H120 loader and not the D120.

The 53" bucket is worth considering. It should be about a $50 upgrade from the 49".

Make sure you know the differences between "Mechanical Lift", "Hydraulic Lift" and "Independent Lift". Mechanical Lift is standard, and if set up properly, works wonderfully. Don't let them sell you a $1,000 Independent Lift, chances are very good that you don't need it - or would even benefit from it. I could make an argument for why it is not as good as the standard mechanical lift but I don't want to ruffle feathers. Just make sure that if you are going to get it, that you know what you are getting, and that you will actually benefit from it.

This was my final out the door price in NC earlier this month to give you an example. We looked to be identically match other than I grabbed the box blade while I was at it and the 60D is the autoconnect model. My payment with zero down and zero percent for 60 months is $311.84.

I paid $10,820 for the 1025r, $2300 and change for a 54" auto connect deck, and $731 for 48" landscape rake. I asked for and received a deluxe hood guard for free. Purchased in May 2015.
