Hello there, New member here and was looking at the 1026. I went to the local dealer and was quoted $17,600 for the 1026, h120 loader, and 60" MMM. This a good price?

Welcome and Pricing

:wgtt:

I'm a newbie myself but let me be the first to welcome you.

I recently received my 1026R (see thread).

I picked up the 1026R with the deluxe brush guard and the ROPS light brush guards along with the 54D AutoConnect deck. When I was negotiating with my dealer he showed me his cost for the tractor and my attachments.

  • 1026R with brush guards and delivery to dealership: $10512.28
  • 54D AutoConnect Deck with delivery to dealership: $1701.76
  • Labor cost to prep machine, install deck, and do final inspection: $350.00
  • Total before any markup: $12564.04

I ended up paying $13200 before taxes which I thought was a very fair price. I received quotes from three different dealerships within 50 miles of my home. One was for $14350, and another was for $13135. I end up going with the $13200 because the dealer was local, he offered free delivery, free transport during the warranty period, and threw in a 1/16 scale collector's edition model of a JD 8360R from his showroom floor.:thumbup1gif:

I did ask about the loader and he did not give me a firm quote but he was fairly certain he could get it for ~$2500.00. I ended up passing on the loader for now but it is on my wish list for next year.

Hope this helps and good luck...

Wow! GA prices are about 7% lower than MI prices! I wonder which region firehawk is shopping?
I'm looking into upgrading to the 1026R myself. I live in Maine and hopefully I can swing by my local dealer this weekend to get some prices. It looks like an awesome tractor and I can't wait to get up close to one and see for myself!

Was that with tax? Last September(2011) I bought the same package you list, plus got a Frontline BB2060 box blad with I-match QH and Rim Guard loaded rear tires for $17,650.00 out the door with free delievery and 2 hats.:unknown:

Yes, The 17,600 was out the door. I am in Bryan Tx.
Welcome to GTT!

I think that's a fair price, but how do you like your dealer? Have you dealt with them before? Personally I'd pay a little more for good customer service and a dealer who cares about you after the sale than a dealer who doesn't. I look at the whole package to see if it's a great deal. Price isn't everything.:hi:

I agree that having a good dealer is important but I also dont want to be gouged at the sales desk. The big problem that I am running into is that the local dealer owns the 5 closest dealers so it is going to be difficult to get a good price from them unless I am better informed as to what a good price should be. That is why I am asking.

I received the highest price of four quotes from one of those big multi-location dealers... The Kubota/Deere dealer had the lowest price, but warned me not to buy the 1026r because it is so inferior to the bx2660... Strange but true in SE MI.

I was quoted this price within $50 but it also included Autoconnect for the deck and independent hydraulic deck lift, iMatch, and rear work light. I think this could be at least $500 lower. There is also a $500 rebate for buying 2 implements, but you can't use the 0% for 60 month finaning and get the rebate. the 48 month financing does qualify for the rebate. I personally think you should be able to get it for 17,000 or 17,100 out the door.
I am in the North Alabama/ Southern Middle Tennessee area.

After you negotiate with the salesman, you should be able to get a better price. Time to haggle!

Hey there. I'm a former Maine-ah, and I had excellent service and price from the Chad Little dealer (I was in Brunswick at the time).

Where I am now my options are slim- so I ventured far and wide, and let my fingers do the walking!
I ended up talking with four different dealers, eventually came to a price of $18,750 for the 1026R with H120 loader and 260 backhoe. Also includes the coolant heater. Should be coming in 6-8weeks!

I had a few other less formal quotes well over 20K for the same package- so it helps to shop around if you can!

All I'm interested in for attatchments are the 54" autoconnect mower deck and the 47" snowthrower. I'm anxiuos to get a quote from my dealer to get an idea of what this will cost me. I will probably trade in my GX255 and its attatchments also.

@rockshaft...good to hear from ya Maine-ah!

I paid 18500 last fall for the 1026r with 54" blower, 60" autoconnect mower, weights and chains. I may have paid to much, as I was on a waiting list to get one. Dealer was pushing to get a 2520, but that seemed too big for my needs.

That price sounds high to me. I just took delivery last month of the items listed in my signature for about $19k. If I just total up the items you list, the price was about $16k. Keep looking, and good luck! These are great tractors and you will have LOTS of fellow owners here on GTT to talk about all the fun you will be having with it. :thumbup1gif:
