Only had the tractor since the beginning of Dec but already done a few Mods to it.

Simple plumbing flex connectors to protect the Fel stand on the concrete.
Vehicle Lawn aerator Lawn Soil Grass

Hydraulic deflector added to rear snow blower
Green Public space Playground Grass Outdoor play equipment

The chute handle for the blower was too close to the tool box. So i moved the tool box to the other side allowing me to extend the handle making it much easier to rotate the chute. And easier to get to the tool box from the left side.

Picked up my Ballast box today and was trying to decide the best why to keep it mobile. Decided to bolt the casters right to the bottom of the unit. simple drop and go. And they even happened to be a nice shade of green. each caster has a rating of 750lbs so there is no worry about the weight.

I am sure there will be lots more little touches to make once i get some real use out of it, besides backing it in and out of the garage

I have some HID hella lights sitting here that might go on, do have a set of strobes sitting here too, maybe :unknown: too many ideas.

I'm liking the tool box on the left side. Seems to make sense do to the fact you get on & off on the left so your tools and what ever are right there!
Sawdust,

I like your casters. I was looking for similar casters to make the same modification. Can you tell us where you found them?

Only thing that might be an issue is getting to the pto. But I don't believe the tool box is big enough to really get in the way.

Got those casters at TSC in Canada. Not sure if the us TSC stores are the same as ours. Princess auto also had a good selection. But no green ones. :mocking:
Love your mods Sawdust!

Sure doesn't take long to start making a machine personal. You'll love the casters for the ballast box. But, just a small word of caution, please bevery careful when moving it around on the casters and it is full. With swivel casters your tipping point can change on you. I would really hate to see ya get hurt. When moving my box around this way I take it very slow and deliberately. Not trying to preach just inform. Think safety first. :thumbup1gif:
casters

Initially I loved the casters and planned to incorporate them on my ballast box. Then I remembered I live in Florida ( lots of sand ) and use my tractor in some thick woods where brush could snag the wheels. I am back to using a piano mover from Home Depot.

I thought the same thing. Then I remembered that last weekend I hit the ground (not hard) with the ballast box even with it in the full up position. I won't be putting anything on the bottom or back of my ballast box that I'll lose ground clearance from.

Still a great idea:good2:
Not to detract from Sawdust's idea, but I think permanent castor's are a bad idea. There are just two many times that my BB has dragged the ground while working or loading in the trailer, or like mentioned snagging brush. My BB is filled with concrete so attaching and/or replacing one would be a problem also. With that said, I have a steel dolly that I lower mine onto to move it around.

May be a new product idea for me or Chris at Artillian:dunno::think:

Agreed, my ballast box hits the ground periodically and I still don't how that happens when it all the way up like that. I will be the first admit that I am working my tractor hard and taking it into rough spots.
And Here's the Good News!

If he finds it just isn't working well this way he can unbolt them and do something different. Can't say I ever hit the ground with my box on the back but the extra clearance is handy. As far as doing something different here is what I came up with.

My box will be filled with bricks, so will be no trouble to remove if needed. (just extra drainage holes then. :mocking:)

My yard is all grass, so no 4 wheeling trough the woods for me either. And of course if it does hit the ground it will just roll.
