Hi All

My first post and I am on the verge of purchasing my first Deere. I’ve been researching the orange, yellow, red and green tractors for the past few months. I am now convinced that Deere is the way to go.

The 1026R model, 60” 7-iron deck and the 54” blower is what I am planning to purchase. My question is this: When does the 2012 model come out? Does anyone know the differences of the 2012 1026R vs. the 2011? Maybe I should wait for the new model....

Thanks
Cat

Welcome to DT!

There may be some updates since this is such a new model, but I wouldn't expect any major changes. If you want it-get it! Like BEC wrote, they don't change models often...

Ditto,to what has been posted.
Being it is such a new model, there may be updates, but what it is now, will be the same for some time to come.

This is pure speculation, and has not been confirmed in any way:
The first stop I made in shopping the 1026 was a large six location dealer. The salesman told me that the 1026 engine would not meet the newest emission requirements, and was scheduled to be changed at the first production run in 2012. He thought that the 2011 may be recalled for this issue. So, he only priced me the 1023, and lost a sale. I called four other dealers, no one mentioned it. I thought that I may as well jump on the 2011 with the "old" 76 engine, because they may start putting the new 72 in them. I ordered on nov. 7 and still waiting.

Welcome Cat.

You probably need the blower for winter so buy now and have fun. :)

Consider adding an iMatch and ballast box to improve winter traction.

The I would definitely get the 2011, before the EPA clogs it with more pollution control junk.
