The steering cylinder on my 1070 MFWD is starting to leak around the cylinder rod. This tractor is vintage 1992 or 1993. Deere's online parts catalog show replacement cylinders are available for ~$900 but offers no information on any seal kit that could be used to repair the cylinder. The online catalog is also confusing as there is a page for Power Steering Cylinder 4WD (https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/sidebyside/equipment/83784/referrer/navigation/pgId/17518668) and for Power Steering Cylinder MFWD (https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/sidebyside/equipment/83784/referrer/navigation/pgId/17539679).

I would really like to find a seal kit for this cylinder. Does anyone by chance know a good online cross reference that might get me to the right set of parts?

My suggestion is find a local Hydraluic and see if they offer a rebuild service. They could probaly come up with the right size seals but not in kit form.

Hmmmm if vintage is 30 years old what does that make our primary ranch tractors? Ancient like me? 75 JD 300 Industrial loader with Gannon box scraper, rippers/sizers, angle and forward/reverse road work. 78 Case 580 extendahoe 4in1 and yep, ancient works. The Deere online manuals have a good Xref from seasoned rigs into todays part/kit numbers.
