14 Bushel bags hard to empty.

I bought a X754 with a Powerflow 54 with the 14 bushel 3 bag system. Dumping the bags is a real effort. Is there an easy way to dump the bags. Im thinking I might take the bags to a Commercial sewing guy like for leather works and maybe sow a super heavy duty Zipper in the bottom of the bag to make it easier to dump. Any one have Ideas or comments.

Do the stock ones have a handle on the bottom? I got mine used and the previous owner had cut a board and mounted a big galvanized handle to the bottom of each bag. Real easy to flip and shake the clippings out. Granted I only really use it for leaves.
There are Fabric like handles on the bottom. Leaves empty out OK it's the wet grass that is hard to dump. The metal frame stops the grass from coming out. I have to kind of turn the bag sideways and shake it real hard for the grass to come out. It's a real work out. I thought by putting a heavy duty zipper on the bottom would make it much easier.

If you hold the bag frame on the wide side as you pick it up after sliding to ground it spreads the joint a little and makes the top open up more when you jerk the bottom handle. Then you have to slip the frame joint back together is all.

It got to be too hard on my old shoulders so just a couple weeks I bought the dump from seat hopper that fits right on the existing frame. Great purchase for me despite the $625 price tag. There are a couple threads about it on here. I’m out fishing on this beautiful day and typing on my phone otherwise I would look them up for you.

The stock bags have a fabric handle on them that rips out after a while. I put plastic plates inside mine and nylon straps for handles bolt through the plate.

That X754 will last you a long time so average the cost for the hopper out over several years and it looks better. I’ve had my X754 for seven years and it’s still running like new.

Thanks for the advice on holding the fram on the side. I'll try that next time I cut. Also I will look into the dump from the seat option.

I have the 14 bushel bagger on my X584 and had similar struggles to empty the bags especially the furthest bag which seemed to really get packed. I noticed an improvement after adjusting the angle of the bagger frame to match exactly per the owners manual which seemed to distribute clippings between the furthest and middle bags. I've also taken to emptying the bags before the closest bag is completely full.

I'm not sure what you mean when you talk about the adjusting of the angle bagger frame. My manual says nothing about that. I had a good look at the bags today and they all look the same to me. The frames all seem the same also. Am I missing some thing here?
