The hydro system is self purging, there is no need to 'bleed' anything.

If the fluid is foamy, I suspect the 'manifold' needs replacing, its a common failure point on these older machines, and luckily its relatively cheap. The get hard and crack, allowing air to be sucked in.

Thank you for your response. My fluid isn’t getting foamy. I replaced the rubber manifold for the pumps when i changed out the pumps yesterday. Operated off an on throughout today and no change in consistency of the hydraulic lift/tilt and power steering. Do i need to operate it for a couple of hours straight or can i leave it idling/throttled up to self purge? I appreciate all help.

Did you clean the pickup screen?

 

Suction screen was also replaced.

 

When the old suction screen was removed, was it relatively clean or full of slimy scum?

 

Sounds like you have a suction side leak somewhere if it's cavitating.

 

The old suction screen was relatively clean when removed. Monday i will go down the entire suction line checking all clamps and rubber hosing for leaks. I do have an extra suction screen, i will replace it as well.

 

Not that it matters much for the problem you have but the 4210 didn't come out until the 2002 model year.
