Guys sorry to bother ya. Went to a Jeep forum, and nothing moves like this one! I just bought the subject vehicle!

I bought a Tekonsha PS-3 Brake controller for my last vehicle that I never installed. All I need to know is if my vehicle has a Plug/Play port under the dash for a Controller hook up. If thats the case, I just need a jumper cord. Any awareness? Thanks! ~Scotty

I did some research on this, and it does not look like the '06 WK/ Grand Cherokee has a factory plug for a brake controller, even with the tow package. Surprising, for me at least. I thought it would.

I found this website that covers the brake controller installation process pretty well. Looks like you do have to wire the controller in manually, but Jeep supplied the wiring to the back inside the harness already. You may need an adapter at the rear to connect the trailer plug though. Hope this helps!

I did a controller on an 05 and it wasn't bad. There is no harness that just plugs in. The factory tow package plug is wired for electric brakes. There is a green wire under the dash near the fuse panel and that is the brake voltage wire from your controller to the plug. You would need to splice your controller into this green wire, your brake pedal, a good ground, and a battery connection. Buy the controller and a generic pigtail and make these connections and you will have electric brakes.

Thanks Guys! I can't believe that it doesn't have plug-in! Thanks for all the comments/help! We are so blessed with an active board! So I go to a Jeep Forum, says "Last post Dec 2012!!! That's why I came 'Home" to GTT! :) ~Scotty
