I inherited our show a few years ago, I was helping the man who started it. He became ill & passed away, so it's up to me to keep it going. I do have one man who helps me with it & a couple guys who bring in 4-5 tractors each every year. It is in conjunction with the annual "Gooseberry Festival" started several years ago by our current mayor & his family, they pay all insurance & other expenses for several events around town that weekend. Biggest problem is there are things going on all over the area the same weekend, including a well established tractor show about 70 miles away.

The part I dislike is the "publicity" side, including the local radio station's "open line" program! :hide: ~~ Lowell

Northwest Missouri Steam & Gas Engine show in Hamilton, MO this weekend. Rained off & on all day Friday & little bit this morning, so attendance was down. Came home early, so I din't do the usual "downtown parade" yesterday evening because of the rain, but there's always next year!

Still over 50 farm tractors: HPIM1285.JPG HPIM1286.JPG HPIM1287.JPG

I wanted to get a pic of my little L/60 next to this guy, but it was raining too much yesterday & the L/60 was wet & wouldn't start today until after the 5020 was gone: HPIM1283.JPG

Feature was Allis Chalmers this year: HPIM1284.JPG This oddball was there: HPIM1282.JPG HPIM1281.JPG

My setup: HPIM1289.JPG

That's a great set of pictures. In the first group I thought the little Ford was probably pushing the big Farmall to help it finish the parade:laugh:.

Thanks very much for sharing those pictures.

A couple oddities from a show at Blakesburg, IA yesterday: Holder vineyard tractor; HPIM1294.JPG HPIM1293.JPG HPIM1292.JPG German built, 12 HP single cylinder diesel. This is with the wheels in the "wide" position, owner said with the wheels in the "narrow" position, it will go through a 32" door!

Homemade "hit-n-miss" tractor: HPIM1295.JPG HPIM1296.JPG HPIM1297.JPG HPIM1298.JPG ~~ Lowell

Livingston County Steam & Gas Engine Show, Chillicothe, MO: I took the first load down yesterday & another today. Today was "kids day", with some area schools bringing classes in to view the displays.

I took these pics this morning, 50+ farm tractors & a couple dozen L&G's, more came later & some will only come in for tomorrow: HPIM3228.JPG HPIM3219.JPG HPIM3222.JPG HPIM3221.JPG HPIM3227.JPG HPIM3223.JPG

And for FG: HPIM3224.JPG HPIM3225.JPG HPIM3226.JPG

I'll see what shows up tomorrow! ~~ Lowell

Our local Orscheln's Farm & Home store (Midwest version of TSC) is having their second annual tractor show Saturday in conjunction with the Missouri Days event. This will be my last show this season, then I'll go into withdrawals! I don't do this parade because of the high school band competitions, too much setting & waiting while the bands do their routines. Show is only two miles from home, i'm planning to take in the 83-420, towing the Snowco trailer w/ the 83-314 & the "TS" Gator w/ the 22B cart & 70 I. ~~ Lowell
