Went to a show 50 miles away today, took the 40, 314 & 100. Small show with just a dozen farm tractors & three L&Gs. HPIM1721.JPG HPIM1723.JPG HPIM1724.JPG HPIM1727.JPG

I have to believe that people come to these shows just to see what you brought. Nice display! :thumbup1gif:

Very nice 40! I enjoyed the pictures, thanks for sharing them.

Question: the two tractors to the left of your 40 in the group picture, what were they?

Minneapolis-Moline, they belong to the same collector, he has a pretty good sized collection of Minnie's, says the one with the red grille is a pretty rare beast!

Thanks, I thought that was probably what they were. There's not many found in north Alabama shows. They have always looked like stout tractors.

Macon, MO show featured JD this year, took the 40 w/#20 dirt scoop: HPIM3304.JPG A 40 row-crop: HPIM3305.JPG Nice little "M": HPIM3306.JPG "W" power unit: HPIM3314.JPG 53-"R": HPIM3315.JPG Some newer models too: HPIM3312.JPG

And, for those who think their tractor's "built like a tank": HPIM3308.JPG HPIM3309.JPG HPIM3313.JPG

grnspot110, you are a man after my own heart. I love the pictures you share. We'd have a good time if we could ever get together at one of these shows.

Not a very big parade this year, wife said there were four older tractors: HPIM1796.JPG HPIM1798.JPG HPIM1801.JPG HPIM1802.JPG

Then there was this: HPIM1800.JPG I'm guessing early 20's, wish I knew who it belongs to!

All of your machines are great, and the 40 is quite photogenic ?. Do you still have the 317 "special" you built? That was always a favorite of mine.

Thanks!!!

I sold the 317 Special around a year ago & it recently showed up for sale again on KC CL. On edit, I just looked & it's off CL this morning, was listed for $1350!

You did a real nice job with that 317 Lowell, anyone would be real lucky to own it. I think that would be just the ticket for me around my place....the perfect combo of GT and an extra seat up front for me and Mrs. CP to tour our property.:thumbup1gif:

Nice group of pictures, Lyle.

I've seen a Massey Harris US Navy tractor on Classic Tractor Fever.

Also, the experimental Massey was way ahead of its time in 1957. Probably good for the other manufacturers that its never made production. The script on the power steering decal looks the same as the JD decal except white instead of yellow.
