My 1025r deck level has been giving me fits this season. Mostly, I attribute this to the 3rd SCV install. The 3rd SCV servo and the deck gearbox like to occupy almost the same space.

after I got the 3rd SCV install back and hooked up the deck, I noticed a new vibration when starting the deck and it was fully raised. After dropping the deck and inspecting, there are clear rub marks between the hydraulic lines to the front connectiors and the deck (60d btw) gearbox.

after following the leveling procedure (see below) I’m at the point where I have the deck level at my desired cutting height, but when I raise it, I’m out of level by >1/2 inch. Is this normal?

If you follow the deck leveling guide, step 1 is to get the mechanical deck height adjuster so that it clears the cam when at the ‘locked’ or highest position. The only way for me to accomplish this was to remove one of the three bolts in the rock shaft attachment strap. I tried putting the third bolt in and I’m more that 1/4 inch from clearing the cam. I met midway and the although I cannot spin the cam all the way around, I can lock it in the highest position. Now, my deck is level at my desired height, but when raised completely, I’m out of level by more than 1/2 inch. What else should I be looking at (rear tires are spot on btw).

my deck has always lowered funny, stopping on the left while the right continues to lower. Is this normal? What should I be looking at ?

It could be, you got the same attention to detail that I got when I ordered my tractor with the Independent Lift option. It was installed at the dealership, and the tech did a hack job with plumbing the lines. Just being too lazy to do it the right way, two missing clamps to the frame, because he didn't route anything correctly.

Ridiculous that they even delivered the tractor this way, I was not a happy camper!
I had to do all of the research on how it was supposed to be plumbed, finding the install instructions on-line, haul the tractor back to the dealership, point out to the service manager how the lines should be plumbed **(and provided a few "eight-by-ten colour glossy pictures with circles and arrows, and a paragraph on the back of each one"), where the missing clamps were supposed to go, etc..

I've heard somewhere that this normal. That you level the deck at your desired cutting height and the level will change at different heights, including fully raised. I don't know why.
